Astrophysics ED120, a crazyness....

In summer 2002, I decided to buy a second-hand Astrophysics refractor ED120, all equipped with a GP-DX mounting. It is a 120mm lens size, with a focal of 1020mm, which drives a f/d ratio of 8.5

As I am currently living in a small appartement in Paris downtown, I let my new toy in the hands of Chrisitan Buil, at Toulouse. Now I have a second good reason to go to Toulouse much often...

For pointing stars, I have a skysensor2000. But I used the external encoder feature instead of GOTO for a better accuracy. The external encoders was already mounted when I bought the instrument. I made two cables to connect them to the skysensor, following the cabling instruction from the skysensor manufacturer guide.

This is the very first image taken with a webcam, on the Toulouse terrace of Christian Buil.

My best image of Saturn, up to now... taken with a webcam and a barlow, at St-Caprais, 30km NE of Toulouse. Click here for more informations on the observation.
